Within the 33rd Service year celebrations of our foundation, on April 22, 2006, Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in MKM Exhibition Hall, the activity organized to get revenues for the foundation started with the singing of National Anthem by the Visually Impaired Chorus with the presentation of Ms Hale Caneroğlu, continued with the Tango Performance by the Visually impaired and ended with the 2-hour concert by Sezen Aksu.


AKP İstanbul Deputy Lokman AYVA, himself a blind individual, is seen at his visit to the Six Dots Foundation For The Blind.

On February 24, 2005, Thursday, AKP İstanbul Deputy Lokman AYVA, himself a blind individual, visited the Emirgan Six Dots Foundation for the Blinds Rehabilitation Center and the Six Dots Foundation for the Blinds.

Visiting the education units of our center and getting information from the officials, Lokman AYVA talked to the course participants and answered their questions. The questions were generally about the Disability Law draft, the employment of disabled individuals and Civil Servants Selection Exam.

He also shared his experiences about self-esteem and education of the blinds and their participation into the social life.

LOKMAN AYVA - BAŞKÖY – birth 1966. Graduated from Boğaziçi University Business Administration department. Completed Master’s Degree in Boğaziçi University Social Sciences Institute.

Speaks English and Arabic, business administrator. General Chairman of Beyazay Association, Executive Board member of Physically Impaired Foundation and Turkish Federation of the Blinds General Assembly member.

Holds the service awards of Association for the Protection of Children that need Special Education, Physically Impaired Foundation and İstinye Rotary Club. General Coordinator of İstanbul Disability Center. Married and has two children.


Our members are seen with Kadir İnanır and the crew of the show 'Bütün Çocuklarım'. Kadir İnanır and 'Bütün Çocuklarım' team were our guest.

Some episodes of the BÜTÜN ÇOCUKLARIM series which started broadcasting last spring on Kanal D, are shot in our Foundation building. Particularly the parts where Jülide KURAL, acting in as Bahşen, reads books to our course participants voluntarily.

This time, Ali YAHYA (Kadir İNANIR), who is in love with Bahşen, was also in our center. Talking with our course participants, Kadir İNANIR answered the questions, during the break. The conversation joined by Menderes SAMANCILAR and all shooting team was fun.

İŞKUR General Manager Namık ATA attended the seminar held in Mecidiyeköy Culture Center on March 19, Saturday at 10:00 as a speaker. In his speech, Ata talked about the employment of disabled individuals under the new labor legislation. The other speakers that attended the seminar were Physically Impaired Foundation Chairman Asst. Professor Dr. Kahraman EMMİOĞLU and İstanbul deputy Lokman AYVA.

In the seminar, the problems regarding the employment of disabled individuals and solutions to them were shown to the audience with simulations. As known, Article 30 of the new Labor Law no. 4857 stipulates that the business places that employ 50 or more people have to employ disabled individuals in the rates set by the Cabinet every year, with a minimum of 3%.

Introducing significant amounts of fine in case of breach of the regulation, the law also stipulates incentives for the business places that employ disabled individuals in the rates above the rate determined by the Cabinet. The law states that fifty percent of the insurance premium funds of the business places that employ more disabled individuals than the rate determined by the Cabinet or employ disabled individuals that lost more than eighty percent of his/her working capacity, will be paid by the Treasury. The Disability Health Council reports were also evaluated. In the second part of the seminar in the afternoon, which was attended by Public Relations Manager Sevtap DEMİRTAŞ as a representative of our foundation, the problems encountered during the obtaining of Health Council reports by disabled individuals and the solutions to these problems were discussed. In the meeting that was attended by İstanbul Provincial Health Deputy Manager Doğan UYSAL and chief physicians of some hospitals authorized to issue health report, the problems were discussed and solutions were sought.
